Vegetarian Restaurants in Swansea > The Old Post Office
We couldn't get into another local pub for lunch so tried this restaurant/bistro. It was empty and had room. We waited about 45 minutes for the main meal to arrive. The roast potatoes tasted bought in and some tasted like they were old boiled pototoes reheated. The choice of sunday meats were chicken or lamb. What no beef !!. Chicken was a joint obviously frozen and defrosted in the microwave, lamb shank was obviously done that way too and was fatty. Vegetables were okay, extra gravy came, no stuffing was a disappointment. The food was edible. Waited another 25 minutes for the chocolate pudding to arrive, obviously been overdone in the microwave too long as it was awful, too rich and too chewy. The other customers had not been given their meals as they had unfortunately ordered the starters. By the time we had left about 1hr 40 minutes later. The customers who came immediately in after us, had only just finished eating their starters. I felt sorry for the people who were waiting for their starters they would have a long wait. At 2pm late arrivals were told that the chef could not cook any more meals as all she had no more vegetables left, she had only 4 tables in to serve. They were persuaded to order a snack, they got their roll and soup quicker than the other customers. Poor service, would not recommend and very expensive for bad food.
