200-201 Neath Road,
This place used to be a fine restaurant until it was taken over by new management who hired a chef who is cullinary challenged. Generally overpiced and parking is a real issue. If you are considering dining here I would urge you to think twice as there are many excellent take aways and fish and chip shops serving superior product in the local area.
Had an enjoyable meal at Pizzeria Vesuvio on 27th July. We hadn't booked but a table was found for us - would suggest booking. I had a mushroom starter in a chilli sauce - excellent and plenty of Italian bread to soak up the sauce. My wife had Italian bread drizzled in olive oil and topped with tomatoes and red onions - both excellent. Her main meal was salmon in a strawberry sauce with mixed veg and I had meatballs and spaghetti - too much to finish. Had an excellent Chianti with the meal. Menu was varied and typical of most Italian restaurants. The layout was pleasant however there was a baby who cried from time to time. Staff were good and we were given time between courses. Smoking was allowed - not my preference. Will try the steak with one of the sauces available next time.
